1. Who we are

Meetakk runs online speed dating events. You can contact us at admin@meetakk.com.

2. Who can take part

• You must be 18 or over.
• The information you give when you register, including your age and gender, must be true.
• You may only register for yourself.

3. Registration

• You register using our online form.
• If we cancel or reschedule an event, we will offer you a place at the new date.

4. How you must behave

You agree to:

If you break these rules, we may remove you from an event or refuse future registrations, without a refund.

• Be respectful and polite to everyone at the event.
• Not harass, threaten, pressure or discriminate against anyone.
• Not record, screenshot or share anything from the event.
• Only use another participant's name and WhatsApp number, which we share after a mutual match, to contact them, and not pass them to anyone else.
• Stop contacting someone if they ask you to.

5. Our role and responsibility

• Meetakk only organises events and introduces people. We do not check the identity, background or intentions of participants, and we do not guarantee that you will find a match or a relationship.
• You are responsible for your own decisions and for anything that happens between you and other participants, online or in person.
• To the extent the law allows, Meetakk is not responsible for the behaviour of participants or for any loss or harm that results from meeting or contacting them. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Staying safe

• Do not share personal details such as your address, workplace or financial information early on.
• If you decide to meet in person, choose a public place and tell a friend or family member where you are going.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you register applies to you.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Meetakk (Online Speed Dating) is the data controller. You can contact us at admin@meetakk.com.

2. What we collect

• Your name
• Your date of birth or age
• Your gender and the genders you would like to meet
• Your country
• Your email address
• Your WhatsApp number

3. Why we use your data

• To register you and confirm your booking. This is needed to carry out our agreement with you.
• To match you with other participants and share your name and WhatsApp number with people you mutually match with. We do this with your consent.
• To use your gender and the genders you would like to meet, which can reveal your sexual orientation, only for matching. We do this with your explicit consent.

4. Who we share it with

• Mutual matches: only your name and WhatsApp number, and only when you both chose each other.
• Service providers that help us run Meetakk, such as our form and storage tools, our email service and WhatsApp.
• We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or marketing.
• Once a match has your WhatsApp number, they are responsible for how they use it, and we cannot control this.

5. Transfers outside Europe

Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area or the UK. We choose providers that use approved safeguards for these transfers.

6. How long we keep your data

• Two days after the event, we delete individual registration records, including your name, age, gender, country, preferences, email address, WhatsApp number and linked consent and device-check records.
• We retain event-level aggregate registration statistics, including total registrations and counts by gender and country, without participant names, contact details or participant IDs. Categories with fewer than 5 registrations are combined as Other.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email admin@meetakk.com. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

• Ask for a copy of your data.
• Ask us to correct it.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to how we use it.
• Ask for your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew. If you withdraw before the event, we will not be able to register or match you.

8. How we protect your data

We limit access to your details to the people who need them, use password-protected accounts where available, and keep your data only in the tools we use to run Meetakk. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires it.

9. Under 18s

Meetakk is only for people aged 18 and over. If we learn that someone under 18 has registered, we will delete their data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
